if apple’s free NWS weather apps weren’t so hopelessly inaccurate (thank you for cutting the NWS budget so much, maga/GQP) I’d have kept them, the free apps and widgets that came with my phone were so much nicer looking and easier to read than this terrible accuweather app is on my phone screen. the best thing about this app is… there is nowhere to go but up, seriously infinite room for improvement, it’s THAT bad and this is not a cheap service. hire a graphic designer please, this service makes enough money for you to hire someone to make this app look nice and be functional for everyone, not just your bosses in R&D. so just about everything on the app, and all widgets too, being low resolution uniform monotone makes it an absolute nightmare for me to read and process the forecasts, conditions, and info I am playing you guys good money for. I am a person with autism, adhd, and dyslexia…. hopefully my $20 a year goes towards resigning the look of the app and the widgets soon and very soon, because while this is genuinely the best option for a reliable weather app without a doubt, it’s still just an awful ios service and ugly minimalist app which could take a hint from the actual browser pages for accuweather (or the look of the graphics on their TV network) and be at least a tiny bit more user friendly, somewhat aesthetically pleasing, and a lot less “uniform slate greige”. but that’s okay I guess, I can just block all of their ads on all of my browsers on pc and ios anyhow. that’s great, just so very helpful… I can’t sign on with my pc.
but also the new premium accounts are very poorly managed, I suppose to prevent others from using my paid account…? I don’t even have a username as far as I know, there is little to no info in app or online about how to resolve this, just how to pay them and update my payment info to pay them again. Great accuracy, great TV network, shady app developers, single worst paid app I have ever hadįull disclosure, I bought an app for life from them several years back… which was discontinued and now I have to pay yearly (or I could pay monthly which costs a lot more) but that’s where society is going right now, okay….
